Suzain Manassian is the Chief Executive Officer of Gorjiors International Foundation. The vision of the Foundation is to eradicate Obstetric Fistula by the year 2030.
Obstetric Fistula is a hole between the birth canal and bladder and/or rectum, caused by prolonged, obstructed labour without access to timely, high-quality medical treatment. It is one of the most serious and tragic childbirth injuries.
The vision to eradicate Obstetric Fistula has seen laudable achievements. Gorjiors International has in the past years, partnered with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Embassies of Israel, South Africa, Colombia, Zimbabwe, USA, and Colombia to champion this cause. In 2016, over a hundred Obstetric Fistula patients including a Fifteen-year-old girl, were treated for this ailment. This remarkable achievement was made possible through funds raised during the Diplomatx Runway event.
The Diplomatx Runway is an honorary event, organized annually to honor and reward local and international fashion designers who strictly adhere and conform to a high standard of ethical practices, and are very professional in the art of fashion and design. It was inaugurated in 2015 at the residence of His Excellency Pavelyn Tendal Muscko, the Dean of Diplomatic Corps.
The Diplomatx Runway has since had a transformational impact on the lives of women and the girl-child.
Suzain Manassian is also an image enhancement expert, specialized in implementing one-on-one, partner, or group workout programs that match the needs and goals of clients. She has collaborated with small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and organized corporate training programs for their members.
Her unique training style and image makeover sessions have enhanced images of several individuals and corporate bodies.
Suzain since 2019 organised her annual breakfast event 'Future Finance Africa' bringing together finance, philanthropic, venture capital and impact Africa to build effective partnerships for Global Diaspora, investment and engagement.
Suzain's versatility includes her knack for writing. She has written articles for magazines including HR Focus and shared her expertise on corporate image building. Her works have also been featured and highlighted in major newspapers including Ghana's pioneer newspaper, Daily Graphic.
Suzain reads inspirational books at her leisure time.
Her love for fashion and creative innovations is extraordinaire. She masterminded her clothing brand name “Gorjiors” and created her skin and haircare brand “Chants_Naturals”.
She believes in empowering women through formal education and skill acquisition to enhance the socio-economic status of women in society. She has been a guest speaker at several women business forums and has spoken extensively on this matter.
In April 2019, Suzain Manassian won the Image Consultant Of The Year award, at the 5th Feminine Ghana Achievement Awards held at the LA Palm Royal Hotel in Accra.
The awards was organized by the Business Executives, publishers of the Business Executive magazine.
